Left Phoenix, AZ at daybreak on September 12 - Arrived Charlotte, NC on September 27.

Left Phoenix, Arizona at daybreak on June 1, 2020 - headed up the Great Western Trail and spent the first night on the Coral Pink Sand Dunes outside Kanab, Utah.
The next day, we made Provo, Utah - swapped ball joints on one of the X3’s and headed out for Wyoming, where Handsome Luke made his first and only kill of the trip.
Rolled into Mount Rushmore on or about the fifth day, spent the night and set out for the Badlands.
Broke down while rolling through the Iowa farmlands - swapped a knuckle, had an axle shipped in from Phoenix, and headed out for the Mississippi River at Lancing, Iowa the next day.
Cross the Mississippi River and headed up the Trans-Wisconsin Adventure Trail (TWAT) to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (UP) where we broke BOTH X3’s.  Spent the next four days repairing and waiting for parts before heading up to the Mackinaw Bridge and lower Michigan.
Then it was Ohio for another transmission swap and down to West Virginia.  From there, it was back home to Phoenix on the Trans-America Trail.
Next ride is IN the works for 2021!

Wickenburg branch of the Arizona Peace Trail

Wickenburg to Alamo Lake

This is an awesome trail that got us from Wickenburg to the Wayside Oasis Bar & Grill near Alamo Lake without touching any pavement at all.  The downside are the 12 gates to open and close, but the scenery MORE than makes up for it.

On the Arizona Peace Trail

Southern Section

Driving the Arizona Peace Trail from Alamo Lake, south to Yuma, then back up to Alamo Lake through Quartzite.  The hounds and I spent two days on this loop, spending the night under the stars just east of KOFA wildlife refuge. We woke up to a flat tire, but were able to air it back up and make it to Yuma by lunchtime.

Running Whipsaw Wash

Year-round stream and TONS of wildife

Just off of Castle Creek, we've been up and down this wash many times.  Year-round water, wildlife, waterfalls, cliffs, abandoned cabins and mines shafts make this area FUN to explore.  It doesn't take very long or very far to poop the pooches out - LOTS of climbing, crawling, and chasing stuff.
